Curve Ball

The Curve Ball outline features an extra wide nose with a smooth outline and a slightly wider round tail. The wide point is pushed slightly forward of center. It has a light single concave throughout and a bit deeper between the feet. The wider nose makes it easy to get into waves early and the smooth outline through the back of the board allows it to accelerate quickly, while at the same time maintaining control. The Curve Ball has fairly full rails and a slightly flatter deck. This fast little disc was originally designed for small surf but has been a hit as a daily driver for all around surf. We also offer this board as a 5 fin convertible, so it can be ridden as a quad or a tri fin.

Wrecking Ball

The Wrecking Ball is a small wave destroyer. It's designed to turn mushy, boring surf into a fun and rippable playground. The full outline, combined with the flatter deck and fuller volume, help the wrecking ball catch small or weak waves super easily. The bottom features a very subtle single concave through the relaxed entry rocker, feeding into vee through the back one third of the board. The vee allows the board to transfer from rail to rail with ease. We have then dropped a unique "bonzer" style double concave between the feet to keep the board running at full speed down the line, and through flat ,or soft sections. This board will keep you psyched on crappy surf, or let you get crazy on waves that have even the slightest bit of power. Get it in some good surf and you can really get creative and go nuts!

Firefly Quad

The Cole Firefly Quad is the culmination of years of experimentation research and testing. The Firefly Quad came about when Nathan Fletcher and Cole were searching for something more exciting than the standard thruster, which had been stagnating, or at least, getting a bit boring throughout the 1990’s. Around 2000, “We started experimenting with Twin Fins and were stoked on the quickness, acceleration and its aerial performance, but, we ran into the same old problems inherent to that design, lack of stability and tendency to slide out.”
“Nathan and I had both ridden Quads in the past and loved certain things about the design, so we began working on combining the Four Fin Design with the more contemporary outlines, rockers and bottom contours of today.” The Boards were loose yet maximized drive and holding power. When on rail both fins are basically facing the same direction minimizing drag and eliminating the anchor effect of the third fin.
“Nathan began using quads for his big wave boards and at extremely critical spots like Pipeline and at Teahupoo. And he was even more stoked on the design. When Nathan proved the design in Hawaii, we knew we were really on to something.”
The Cole Firefly has been ridden by surfers including, Nathan Fletcher, Bruce Irons, Matt Archbold, Adam Repolgle, Dino Andino, Chris Ward, Ryan Carlson, and a host of other Pros.
The High Performance Quad design is being ridden by surfers from 2’ T Street, to Forty foot Mavericks. Shapers and surfers such as Tom Carroll, Dustin Barca, Anthony Tasunick, Danny Fuller, Damien Hobgood, Shane Beshen and even Kelly Slater have recently been documented ripping on the new wave of performance Quads. This reintroduction of High Performance Quad to modern day surfing, was started, at least in part by the collaboration of Nathan and Cole on the Firefly High Performance Quad.
This design has been copied by many, but duplicated by few. Stretch your imagination, think for yourself, fly one today

Grass Hopper

The Grasshopper quad, is a full outline, semi-fish, version of our world renowned Firefly quad. It has a very low entry rocker with a moderate amount of kick out the tail. The Grasshopper also features a unique double wing bat tail, which allows the board to be wider at the fins, for quick acceleration and drive, and then pull in quickly for more holding power on tight turns. This board flies through and over sections in small to medium surf.

Pistol

The Pistol features a sleek outline with a smooth entry rocker. A fair amount of tail rocker allows for snappy turns and the board fits nicely into the curve of the pocket. The bottom contours feature a blend of flat, vee, and double concave vee for a balance of speed and control. These boards have fairly narrow tails (usually round-pins or narrow round-squares) for holding power and control. This is the model for good waves and good surfing. They are the perfect boards to take on a surf trip!

Single Barrel

This is a state of the art performance shortboard, it has a relatively low entry rocker and quite a bit of rocker out the tail. The board has a single concave starting about 16” back from the nose and running the full length out the tail. The outline has the wide point back about 1 ½’from center to accentuate the curve in the back ½ of the board. This board is very drivey , while at the same time it is really snappy off the top and in the pocket. Fast, loose and predictable, this board is a favorite of top pros, and average surfers as well, for its all around versatility and high performance.
